Kalyani obtained her B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad in 2014. She is currently pursuing her PhD at IIT Madras, on the broad topic of design and modelling of a MILD coal combustor.
